What happened to balance dataslate?

Since the last Balance Dataslate – which was first of the new edition – several huge tournaments have come and gone, two new Codexes have joined the fray, and hundreds of thousands of games have been played at local game stores, on kitchen tables, and everywhere else.

How does the balance dataslate affect stratagems?

The balance dataslate limits these abilities: if the ability allows you to pick any Stratagem, that can now only choose a Battle Tactic Stratagem. Pre-nerf, this ability often equated to two free CP per turn, or simply an extra use of the army’s best Stratagem.

What has changed from the last dataslate?

For the core rules, nothing has changed from the last dataslate. The changes to Devastating Wounds, modifying Stratagem CP costs, using Stratagems more than once per phase/turn, Overwatch, Ruins, and Insane Bravery all return. This is where the meat of the changes are, and a ton of updates have been added.
